AJMAN, Ajman Chamber, March 26, 2018: Mohammed Ali Al Janahi, Executive Director of the Investment and Business Development Sector at Ajman Chamber and Head of the Organizing Committee of the “Future Build Exhibition”, said that the Building and construction sector contributed about 15% to Ajman GDP during the past years. This emphasizes the significant growth of the sector and its great contribution to the emirate's economy. While, the contribution of the construction sector in the GDP of the UAE reached more than 11 per cent in 2015, he added.
In line with the vision of Board of Directors, the Ajman Chamber has been keen to organize a number of specialized exhibitions to serve all the economic sectors, Al Janahi said, noting that the organization of the exhibition "Future Build" in October, is the first of its kind in the emirate. It comes to highlight the cutting-edge technologies and innovative means in the smart and green building, in addition to the protection, communications, control systems and others. It will further promote the major companies and factories in the sector with a large local and international participation, he said.
During a coordination meeting held in the presence of the exhibition's workgroup, Al Janahi said that the exhibition will focus on several themes, namely: the building systems and materials, smart systems, the urban plan 2030, the clean and renewable energy and waste recycling, and the 3D printing and its role in the development of the sector, which is the next revolution to take this sector to new skyline.
The Chamber aims to attract various construction companies and factories, as well as the real estate developers to support the institutions operating in the emirate. The exhibition will provide them with the opportunity to promote their products and services under a pioneering umbrella. It will serve as a platform introducing the latest developments in the construction sector, especially in light of that many huge and distinctive projects were recently established in the emirate particularly, and the country in general, he added.
“The exhibition is further an opportunity to discuss partnerships, share experiences and learn about the latest innovative means in the construction sector, which is one of the main pillars of growth in the local economy in Ajman in particular and in the UAE in general. It also boosts the growth of the other sectors and enhances sustainability and growth of the economy generally.” Al Janahi said.
He called on all owners of construction companies and factories to participate in the exhibition to be acquainted with the latest developments and build partnerships between the participating and visiting bodies, especially in light of local, regional and international participation.
Al Janahi also praised keenness of His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman and HH Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, to support the construction and real estate sectors in Ajman through providing a strong infrastructure that ensure growth and sustainability of all sectors. Also growth of the construction greatly boosts the investment, tourism, education, health and other fields. He also praised keenness of the Ajman Chamber to organize specialized exhibitions to support the sustainability of the members and enhance the investments in general.
